Dear Sir or Madam:

I’m a Chinese tutor and translator. I heard about your organization from a couple who are going to adopt a 
Chinese child through the organization, and are learning Chinese Mandarin with me.

I guess maybe some other parents have similar needs of learning Chinese, or need to have their documents 
translated. I wonder whether it’s possible that you can help with introducing me to them? 

A summary of my professional qualifications and experience is like following:
•	An Advanced Certificate of Ability to Teach Chinese as a Foreign Language
issued by the Ministry of Education, China
•	A Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature, 
•	A Teacher's Certificate issued by the Chinese authorities, and 
•	A MA in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Westminster, UK.
•	13 years experience of teaching Chinese in a university in China

Apart from seeking jobs, I also would like to see what I can do for the organization. If you would like to 
build up some connections with Chinese communities in UK, or to organize Chinese related events, maybe I 
can help with that. For example, I know an internet forum for Chinese people in UK, where there are sub-
forums on raising baby, on Chinese cooking, etc. Lots of Chinese mothers get to know and meet up with 
each other through the forum. I guess this might be helpful for some families with a Chinese child.
